This monoprint by David C. Driskell features an abstracted multi-colored portrait of a female figure within a rectangular panel, trees within a circle in the top right square, and a female figure and leaves within a smaller rectangular panel in the bottom right. Trees and African imagery were often the focus of Driskell's work.

The print, edition 38 of 50, was commissioned by the David C. Driskell Center and printed with Master Printer Curlee R. Holton at the Experimental Printmaking Institute, Lafayette College, Easton, Pa. It is the first print commissioned by the Driskell Center; funds from the sale of commissioned prints are used to support the Driskell Center's activities.

"African Women, Windows" is hanging in the University House Formal Dining Room.
